LIMAVADY boss Paul Owens admitted his players now have plenty to live up to after the stunning 5-0 win at H&W Welders, the team who had started the day top of the PlayrFit Championship.

A superb Lewis Tosh hat-trick - two of the goals in the first half - had the visitors 3-0 ahead before the hour mark before late efforts from John Butcher and Graham Crown completed the rout.

A delighted Owens - whose side are third, four points behind new leaders Bangor and a point adrift of the Welders - said: “Our away form has been great. This league is so hard. If you drop your levels, you drop points.

“We had a game plan and the players executed everything we asked of them. We gave a good account of ourselves against in a 2-0 defeat in the League Cup against Cliftonville in midweek and that was a good dress rehearsal.

“We put the foot on the gas in the second half and kept it going.”

A Ben Arthurs double and a goal by Matthew Ferguson - his 12th of the season - helped Bangor to a 3-1 win over Institute at Clandeboye Park, a fifth successive league victory for Lee Feeney’s side. Jamie Browne replied for the visitors.

Newington had a fine 1-0 win over Armagh City at Holm Park, good preparation for the north Belfast side’s big ToalsBet.com Co Antrim Shield quarter-final against Larne on Tuesday night at Inver Park, which the two clubs share.

Dundela triumphed 3-0 against Ballyclare Comrades at Dixon Park and Annagh United beat Ballinamallard 1-0 at the BMG Arena.

On Friday night, Ards had a superb 4-1 success over Newry City at the Showgrounds.
