LIMAVADY signalled their Playr-Fit Championship title intentions by cutting Bangor’s lead at the top to six points, Paul Owens' Roesiders crushing Dundela 4-0 at the Showgrounds.

The goals came via Stephen Lowry, a superb John Butcher effort, a Michael McCrudden penalty and a fine strike by Ian Parkhill.

Bangor’s 2-1 defeat at struggling Newry City on Friday night had opened the door to the chasing pack.

The Welders also took advantage, hammering Ballinamallard 4-0 at the Blanchflower Stadium, Jordan McMaullan bagging a double. Paul Kee’s men are in third, two points behind Limavady with a match in hand.

An Eamon Scannell brace helped Ards to a 4-2 win over Armagh City at Clandeboye Park.

Ballyclare Comrades and Institute drew 2-2 at Dixon Park, while Newington went down 3-0 against Annagh United at Inver Park.
