LARNE are in Norway currently preparing for their first-ever game in European competition after making the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Ivermen became the first team from the Irish League to make it to the European stage after beating Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps 4-3 on aggregate at Inver Park.

This match is another page in the remarkable story of the Antrim club that has come from the brink of collapse to back-to-back Irish League titles and European football.

However, Norweigan side Molde, who former Manchester United player and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer used to manage, are overwhelming favourites for this tie.

The hosts are playing in this competition for the third time and they bring some decent form into this season, scoring 16 goals in their last four games and sitting third in the Norwegian top flight.

They missed out on UEFA Europa League qualification after losing a penalty shootout against Scandinavian rivals, Elfsborg of Sweden.
