FORMER Celtic boss Neil Lennon will be the guest of honour at a testimonial dinner for Cliftonville striker Joe Gormley.
The club’s record goalscorer since joining from Crumlin Star in 2011, Gormley formed a deadly partnership with Liam Boyce as Tommy Breslin’s Reds swept to back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014.
And Lurgan man Lennon – who has been strongly linked with the vacant Republic of Ireland job – will be the special guest at the Devenish Complex on Saturday, March 23, with broadcaster Adrian Logan compere as supporters are invited to be part of what promises to be a special night.
“I’m absolutely delighted to be invited as guest of honour for the testimonial of Joe ‘The Goal’ Gormley – Cliftonville’s all-time leading goalscorers, Irish League legend and one of the nicest guys you could meet in the game,” said Lennon.
“Join us for a night of celebration honouring Joe’s great career. Hope to see you all there, particularly all the Cliftonville fans. Up the Reds.”
Available for £50 per person, tickets can also be secured in tables of 10 for £450, with anyone interested in booking their place urged to contact Joe’s Testimonial Committee (07795 663323, 07950 490324 or joegormleytestimonial@outlook.com) as soon as possible.
