The arrest on Wednesday afternoon was part of a counter-terrorism probe into the banned Kurdistan Workers Party, known as the PKK, police said.

Eight addresses are being searched including the Kurdish Community Centre in Haringey, north London, which will remain closed for up to two weeks.
