The Public Record Office Northern Ireland is taking the historical documents on tour as part of events to mark its centenary.

In yet another vivid example of the steady erosion of our public services under Tory austerity, the consequences of dysfunction at Stormont and more than 18 months of DUP intransigence, libraries are no longer able to afford to buy new books.

A representative from Libraries NI said the situation brought about by a funding crisis was ‘really disappointing’.

The document, on loan from the UK National Archives will be on display in Belfast, Omagh and Derry.
