Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr finished the ‘last recorded’ Beatles song Now And Then last year.

The filmmaker is pairing with the band again for what will be his first music video following the success of his 2021 documentary Get Back.

The US singer said she had ‘just asked’ Sir Paul McCartney to play on a cover track of Let It Be, and later invited Sir Ringo Starr to play drums.

The veteran rock star and Beatles drummer said he had never found playing live to be ‘gruelling’ and had always loved performing in a band.

The sprawling 30-track album features a slew of all-star collaborations with artists including Sir Elton John, Sting and Sir Paul McCartney.

The gesture is the former Beatles drummer’s signature greeting and symbolises his message of ‘positivity and light’ to the world.
