THE Wolfe Tones have announced a show in Derry as part of their 60th anniversary celebrations.
The Irish rebel folk band will perform at the Millennium Forum on Saturday September 7, alongside ‘very special guests’.
Last year, the band announced that they would be retiring following a series of concerts in 2024 celebrating their 60th anniversary.
The Derry show follows on from their previously announced 60th anniversary concerts at Belfast’s SSE Arena on October 6 and the 3Arena in Dublin on October 11 and 12, all of which are now sold-out.

The Wolfe Tones’ career began in Dublin in 1964 and saw them achieving global success with beloved songs and ballads including Irish Eyes, Grace, Let The People Sing, The Streets of New York and Celtic Symphony.
Last year, The Wolfe Tones performed at the Electric Picnic festival where they set a crowd record of 30,000 people for the event’s second biggest stage.
In 2022, Celtic Symphony topped the Irish singles chart and hit number 11 in the UK Top 40 after the Ireland women’s soccer team were condemned by British media for chanting the song’s signature refrain of “ooh, aah, up the ‘Ra” in the wake of a victorious World Cup qualifying match.
The Wolfe Tones were also condemned by unionists last summer after the audience at their Féile an Phobail show at Falls Park in Belfast chanted the same “pro-IRA” lines.
